Agility Workshop
The AMCA 2004 National Specialty is pleased to present our
Canine Agility Introduction Workshop, to be conducted by Gillian Crawford.
This workshop will be held on Monday, November 1st. Ms. Crawford has agreed to
conduct both a morning and afternoon workshop, if interest is high enough.
This four-hour workshop is designed to introduce Malamutes
and their owners to the sport of Canine Agility. Gillian's experience with
Northern Breeds will make this a wonderful opportunity to find out what your
Mals can do, and to learn what you can do to help them learn this fun,
fast-paced sport!
This workshop is limited to 8-10 "working teams"
(dog/handler), which will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
However, an unlimited number of exhibitors may also audit the workshop without
their dogs.
If you are interested in participating or auditing our
Agility Workshop, please print out this .pdf form* and send it to Ellen McKee at the address
provided. Questions about reservations? Contact Ellen at (307) 733-3579.

More about Gillian Crawford:
Gillian Crawford (AKC Registered Name, Call Name
"Jill") has been involved in Agility and obedience since 1988. She was one of
the founding members of the Rainier Agility Team, one of the pacific northwest's
largest agility clubs, serving many times as President, Officer, Board Member,
and Training Advisor. Training her three Samoyeds in Obedience has been both
rewarding and a constant challenge. "Aslan", her now 13-year old Samoyed, was
one of the first Sammies in the country competing in Agility in WSDAA, NADAC,
and AKC trials.
Gillian is currently competing in Agility and Obedience
with her MACH "Cowboy" (the "Parti-Pom"), and her Sheltie "Conner". She is
having fun with her "little" dogs with big attitudes, but will be starting a new
Samoyed soon. Jill has been judging AKC Agility since 1997, and working at her
training center in Tacoma, WA. She pays her bills by working for a large law
firm in Seattle as a litigation specialist.
If you have questions about her workshop, please
email Gillian.
