Updates to this event calendar will be made when the
required AKC paperwork has been received from the Show Chairs and submitted to
AKC for their approval by the Vice President.
Note
to Current or prospective Show Chairpersons, please review the notes below.
AKC Application for Show Instructions: AKC must receive the application at least 24 weeks prior to the closing date
of the show. If the judging panel
(also includes Sweepstakes judges) does not accompany this application, receipt
of the panel is requested 18 weeks prior
to the date of closing to be in compliance with Chapter 2, Section 9 and
Charter 4, Section 1 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows, respectively. AKC imposes severe penalties for all late
event applications.
Weight Pulls and Canine Good Citizenship
events are considered Special Attractions.
AKC’s Request for Special Attraction request forms should be submitted
with the event application. AKC will not
approve a Special Attraction request received later than three months prior to closing date.

soon be in the process of selecting a show chair
for the 2010 National Specialty that will be held in the
Rocky Mountain Region
Includes
Arizona, Alberta,
BC, Colorado, Montana,
Nevada, New Mexico
and Wyoming
It is now time to get started making preliminary plans for this event.
Any one interested in possibly serving in this capacity should
contact AMCA’s VP for additional information.
